Financial Planning Associate

As an Associate at IG Wealth Management, you will support a Senior Financial Advisor and their team in delivering a comprehensive range of financial products and services to clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about financial planning, business development, and client relationship management. Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Client Growth:

• Develop and implement strategies to grow the current client base. 
• Leverage existing clients and Centers of Influence to uncover high-net-worth (HNW) referral opportunities. 
• Generate new business through referrals and relationship-building efforts. 

 Client Service & Financial Planning Support: 

• Gather and input client data into financial planning software. 
• Assist in preparing financial plans, proposals, and presentations for client meetings. 
• Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships through additional services (e.g., insurance, banking). 
• Jointly meet with clients alongside the Senior Financial Consultant. 
• Monitor and update clients’ financial plans as their circumstances evolve. 

Administrative & Operational Support:

• Process new business applications and maintain updated client records. 
• Track active tasks or projects and ensure timely completion. 
• Handle client inquiries and proactively resolve issues. 
• Maintain workflow and process efficiencies within the financial planning practice. 

Qualifications & Experience:

• MFDA/AMF or RR IIROC license and LLQP certification (or willingness to obtain). 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry. 
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
