Associate – Business Development & Wealth Growth Focus 

Location: Pickering, Ontario

As an Associate, you will support a Senior Financial Advisor and their team with their financial planning practice, providing a full range of financial products and services to clients. This is a challenging, growth‑focused role ideal for someone who is passionate about financial planning and highly motivated by building a book of business through proactive outreach and relationship development. This individual will play a key role in gathering new assetsexpanding the client base, and developing strong relationships with high‑net‑worth clients and business owners within an already established, high‑performing practice.


You will have the opportunity to grow as a member of the team for many years to come and potentially take on greater responsibilities over time, including leading others and managing top client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with high‑net‑worth families, professionals, and business owners
  • Willingly and confidently engaging in outbound prospecting, including phone outreach, warm and cold calls, networking, and follow‑up with prospective clients
  • Leveraging the existing client base and developing Centres of Influence to uncover HNW referral opportunities
  • Designing and implementing business development strategies focused on asset gathering and client acquisition
  • Finding more opportunities to serve current clients and deepen wallet share
  • Gathering data from clients to prepare plans/proposals
  • Jointly meeting with clients alongside the Senior Financial Consultant
  • Helping the Senior Financial Consultant and team formulate recommendations for clients
  • Building relationships with clients—independently or jointly with the Senior Financial Consultant
  • Generating new business opportunities through strong relationships with current clients, professional networks, and Centers of Influence

To qualify for this opportunity, you should possess:

  • A Mutual Fund or Securities (RR) license and LLQP certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A strong client‑service orientation with the ability to interact professionally on the phone and face‑to‑face

You should also have the following attributes:

  • A natural ability to connect with, motivate, and influence others
  • Confidence paired with coachability and a high level of integrity
  • A demonstrated track record of generating new business, attracting referrals, and helping clients achieve positive outcomes
  • A willingness to proactively reach out to potential clients, including making outbound calls and initiating conversations
  • Comfort working in a dynamic and successful practice where each team member may wear multiple hats
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and be mentored by experienced professionals
