Seeking an associate for a growing and established practice.    Due to the high growth rate and success of the practice the Senior advisor is looking for a partner to assist in the future of the practice.    

This is an excellent role for someone who is excited to utilize the financial planning process to enhance client relationships and grow an already successful practice. It is an ideal role for a detail-oriented financial services professional that enjoys problem solving and is adept at constructing financial plans. 

This individual will have the opportunity to grow as a member of our team for many years professionally and personally. 

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Receiving client inquiries on behalf of the Advisor and determining appropriate course of action.  
  • Proactively resolving client issues, concerns, and request  
  • Processing new business including completing and submitting applications  
  • Assisting in the preparation of a prospect or client file prior to meetings  
  • Tracking active tasks or projects and bringing them to completion  
  • Maintaining updated client files and database  
  • Keeping track of client life events and changes 
  • Gathering and inputting client data and information into financial planning software  
  • Preparing presentations for client meetings  
  • Updating clients’ plans and monitoring and evaluating as circumstances change 
  • Identifying opportunities to deepen and solidify the relationship with the client (e.g. insurance, banking, etc.)  
  • Assisting in the preparation of a prospect or client file prior to meetings 
  • Jointly meeting with clients alongside the Senior Financial Consultant  

To qualify for this opportunity, you should possess: 

  • Business Administration Diploma or other Postsecondary degree in a relevant business discipline or equivalent experience  
  • A Mutual Fund or Securities (RR) license for Nova Scotia, remote work is also acceptable.  
  • Experience in a role involving financial planning and using financial planning software  
  • Strong computer skills in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) 
  • Customer service orientation, with a demonstrated ability to professionally interact with clients, both on the phone and face to face.  
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to ever-changing priorities/time restrictions  

 

You should also have the following attributes:  

  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently  
  • Problem solver with an ability to anticipate and understand future steps necessary to accomplish tasks  
  • Critical thinker who can come up with unique ways to solve problems 
  • Flexible and willing to adapt and evolve 

The successful candidate will have a Mutual Fund license in Nova Scotia, however, remote work will be considered as well.
